Bella & Friends - Week 4

Hard to believe it almost the end of July already!  Today I watched a 15 minute video on the Stampin Up Demonstrator website, showing us some of the new products due to be released this September in the Holiday Catalogue.  Yes, Christmas stuff  and oh my gosh, I want them all!!  Thinking about it now, I should have done a Christmas in July Class....how much fun would that have been??

In the meantime, here is the final sample of Bella & Friends, my stamp set of the month.  I have had so much fun working with this stamp set, and actually made way more than 4 samples...but hey, who's counting :)

Stampin Club - July

Friday was a pretty exciting day for me.....my first Colourful Cards Stampin Club!   The ladies arrived just after 7pm and we chatted in the kitchen before heading to the craft area.   I gave them all their own file folder, with new annual catalogue, information sheets, wish list booklet and hostess schedule.

Each Colourful Cards Stampin Club night, one of the ladies becomes the hostess for the evening.  She brings snacks to share and receives ALL the hostess rewards & specials for that evening.  Karen brought some yummy cookies and butter tarts....have not had a butter tart since I went on my diet 4 months ago.  Oh gosh, it was divine!!

We made two cards...one using the embossing technique  and the host only stamp set Time of Year, and the other using special water colour paper and the stamp set Bella & Friends.  Which many of you will know is my Stamp of the Month.

For a special treat, we also made a cute little box to hold pens, blending pens, aqua pens, bone folders etc...made out of card stock and the new in colours Paper Stack.   Each lovely lady made a different colour to highlight the pretty new Stampin Up 2016-17 in colours.

If you would like more information on Colourful Cards Stampin Club, please email me at baashunt@gmail.com

Have a great weekend

Bella & Friends - Week 3

It's hump day....which also means it's Stamp of the Month day....and this cute stamp set I am featuring this month is Bella & Friends.

This particular card started out as one thing....but morphed into three cards. I started with this one....stamping the whisper white card stock base with background images in Melon Mambo, then added the layered pieces.  Pretty sweet right?

                         Card #1

However, I loved the background so much and felt the layered image blocked too much of it.  So I pulled off the top layers and stamped a sentiment on the front, cut the white card stock base down, added black layers and stuck it onto a piece of Melon Mambo card stock for the new base.  Used some Wink of Stella and tiny pearls to accent....morphing into this.....

                    Card #2

So what to do with the stamped image of little Bella now???   I grabbed some Crumb Cake card stock....as that was the ink I had used to colour her....and some more Melon Mambo and using the layers built up the card for this final version.

                          Card #3 - FINAL

See how versatile this darling little stamp set is....and how much fun it is to design and make your own cards.

If you would like to know how to make your own cards, enjoy some great company, snacks and treats provided too, then come to one of my card making classes, right here in Kemptville, Ontario.   See the tab above for Classes and Events.   If you would prefer to just purchase one of my cards, they are $3.00 each or four (4) for $10.00.  I will be doing a vendor event next month in Merrickville....so stay tuned for more information on that.

Wedding Wishes

My beautiful niece, Kayla, got married last weekend to her soul mate, Nate.  I remember sitting in the hospital corridor 28 years ago, for what seemed like hours, excitedly waiting for her to be born.  My, what a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman she has grown into.

My husband and I wanted to get her something special, so trucked off to The Bay in Ottawa where she was registered.  We had selected something off her list, and figured its a towel, how hard can it be to find.  Wrong!   I searched high and low for this particular towel, as did my husband AND the sales assistant.  Her computer even said there were 12 in stock....it was quite a mystery to us all.  The sales assistant disappeared into the back somewhere, and came running out 20 minutes later, rushing over to a wall display and pulled down two towels...which actually looked like curtains to me....and voila, we had our treasured towels.

The card, of course, was easier to handle.  Although I took my time choosing the colours and layering pieces.

The silver metallic cardstock I used to layer between the Wisteria Wonder cardstock base and the Whisper White image, I think I actually purchased ages ago in Walmart.  The rest of the supplies of course, are from my Stampin Up store.  You can purchase any of these items yourself online by following the tab above to SHOP NOW, and be sure to use the hostess code located in the top right hand corner of this blog to become eligible for a gift from me.

Or email me at baashunt@gmail.com as I have both a Workshop and Stampin Club this week that I can add your order to.  Might save you on shipping !!
